Team Coordinator, Facilities Infrastructure

 

 

Are you a hands-on facilities professional with experience in electrical systems, security technology, HVAC controls, and critical infrastructure? Do you enjoy solving complex problems, leading projects, and ensuring essential systems operate at peak performance?

Cobb EMC is seeking a Team Coordinator, Facilities Infrastructure to oversee the installation, maintenance, and operation of critical facility systems that support our employees, members, and operations. In this role, you'll help ensure maximum uptime of environmental, security, electrical, and power backup systems while coordinating projects, vendor activities, and team performance.

Schedule

🕒 Four 10-hour shifts per week, Monday through Friday (6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.)

Responsibilities

What You'll Do

Lead Critical Facilities Operations

  • Ensure preventive maintenance and inspections are completed on schedule.
  • Oversee electrical systems, low-voltage systems, UPS units, generators, transfer switches, and related infrastructure.
  • Monitor building systems to identify and resolve issues before they impact operations.
  • Maintain accurate maintenance records and system documentation.

Manage Facilities Infrastructure Projects

  • Support the design, installation, and operation of facility infrastructure systems.
  • Evaluate existing systems to identify risks and opportunities for improvement.
  • Coordinate projects involving access control, CCTV, life-safety systems, HVAC controls, and critical power systems.
  • Review contractor proposals, submittals, test reports, and recommendations.
  • Ensure projects are installed, integrated, and operating properly. 

Troubleshoot and Improve Facilities Performance

  • Resolve facility-related concerns and implement effective solutions.
  • Recommend and implement quality improvements and cost-effective operational enhancements.
  • Inspect contractor and staff work to ensure high-quality results and compliance with standards.

Coordinate Facilities Maintenance and Construction Activities

  • Oversee maintenance and testing of fire, life-safety, and ventilation systems.
  • Coordinate HVAC installations and small construction projects.
  • Support company events through Community Room setup and facility coordination. 

Lead and Develop Team Members

  • Provide leadership, coaching, training, and support for Facilities employees.
  • Manage workloads, schedules, and work-order priorities.
  • Conduct performance planning and reviews while fostering a fair and collaborative work environment.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: 

High School or equivalent

Minimum five years’ experience in facilities & HVAC maintenance, building construction

Previous working knowledge of electricity, HVAC and related maintenance techniques  

Windows PC software database or control system knowledge

Possess State of GA Conditioned Air Non Restricted License

Possess a current Universal type refrigerant handling certification satisfying EPA regulations

Ability to demonstrate proficient knowledge and skills related to complex mechanical systems, architectural/mechanical

blueprints, electronic wiring diagrams and controls systems of a typical multi building commercial facilities or a large

contiguous campus

Ability to demonstrate proficient knowledge and skills with Honeywell/ Niagara control system

Experience with critical power/ Uninterruptable Power Supply systems

Experience with commercial fire protection systems, including sprinkler systems, clean agent systems, and backflow preventers

Experience with large load generators

 

SKILLS:

Excellent oral and written communication skills                                             

Excellent supervisory skills

Ability to reason analytically

Ability to proficiently read and interpret electric schematics

Possess valid Georgia driver’s license

 

PREFERRED:

Previous utility industry experience          

Experience with Avigilon security camera and access control systems

Vocational/technical school diploma in electronics, HVAC systems, or a related field
