Cobb EMC has an exciting opportunity for a Line Superintendent to supervise line construction, service and maintenance of the Corporation’s distribution system.
Schedule: 4-10 hour days with a rotating day off (either Wednesday or Friday)

What you will be doing:
Distribution System Construction, Service, and Maintenance
Minimum Requirements:
High School or equivalent.
Minimum nine years electric utility line construction and maintenance experience, with one year as Line Foreman.
Specialized training in live-line work and applied electricity.
Demonstrated expertise in the principles of basic electricity, safety rules and regulations, RUS specifications, and corporate policies and procedures.
Thorough working knowledge of power line installation and maintenance.
Thorough knowledge of Georgia Utility Facility Protection Act (GUFPA) regulations and OSHA regulation 1910.269.
Knowledge of Georgia’s National Pollutions Discharge Erosion Sediment (NPDES) Control.
Thorough knowledge of first aid and safety rules and regulations
PREFERRED:
Possess valid Class A Commercial Georgia driver's license
SKILLS:
Demonstrated supervisory skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Excellent planning and organizational skills.
Proficiency with personal computers. Basic Knowledge of MS Office Suite.
Possess valid Georgia Flagging Certification and Cobb County Excavating and Trenching Certification.
Possess an Integrated Transmission System (ITS) Operator's Certification.
Possess valid Georgia driver’s license.
