    We currently have an opening in our Facilities Maintenance Department

    This position is responsible for coordinating the maintenance and repairs of all buildings on campus. 

    This is a "hands-on" position, which requires technical knowledge and skills to coordinate multiple projects and communication with vendors and employees. 

    This position will report directly to the Director, Field Services & Facilities.  Job responsibilities and requirements are listed below. 




    Major Areas of Responsibilities:

     NOTE:  The following are major responsibilities of this position.  They are not intended to cover each aspect of the position as the scope and duties may change or be temporarily altered based on the current business needs of the Company.  The basic requirement of every position is to perform all tasks as assigned by the reporting authority.

     Corporate Electrical, Low Voltage, Plumbing, and Power Back Up System Maintenance:

    • Ensure preventive maintenance tasks and inspections are performed at scheduled intervals. Keep maintenance database updated with completed tasks
    • Perform preventive maintenance procedures per schedule including lubrication, electrical components, belts, bearing condition, UPS systems, emergency generator, and transfer switch testing
    • Monitor electrical, and low voltage personal computer interfaced systems for potential problems daily
    • Check fire protection systems for proper operation annually; make repairs as needed
    • Complete all maintenance, repair, and installation paperwork and data entry
    Corporate Facilities Problems:
    • Resolve employee complaints and communicate solution to employee
    • Implement quality improvement measures and procedures when beneficial and cost effective with permissions appropriate to measures taken
    • Adjust and repair equipment using approved methods and devices
    • Inspect subordinate employee and contractor work for substandard performance to help ensure highest quality and minimize corrective work
    • Promptly report complaints that cannot be immediately resolved to supervisor.
    • Promptly respond to hazard spills and clean-ups on site.
    Other Maintenance, Repair, and Installation Duties:
    • Ensure maintenance and testing on safety systems such as smoke and fire dampers, fire suppression systems, exhaust fan shutdown relays, emergency lighting, and air handler shutdown are performed per schedule
    • Ensure exhaust fans, air and heat make-up units, and air filtering units are checked for proper operation; ensure all necessary repairs are made.
    • Ensure repairs are made on portable electrical equipment including buffers and vacuum cleaners.
    • Ensure proper repairs and installation of electrical, lighting, and low voltage systems, according to code.
    • Coordinate Community Room set up for company sponsored events.
    • Ensure the necessary grounds maintenance is completed.
    • Coordinate small construction projects on- and off-site


    • Handle all aspects of employment for subordinate staff, including hiring, promotion, training, and termination
    • Appropriately document actions in employment issues
    • Coach and direct learning through direct involvement and reinforcement
    • Assist and implement documented training programs for Facilities employees as required
    • Analyze and manage daily workload and schedules
    • Assign, follow up and ensure proper handling of Handyman Work Order tickets in the database
    • Monitor performance and conduct performance planning and review sessions
    • Ensure fair and consistent treatment of departmental employees





    Minimum Qualifications:

    • Vocational/Technical school diploma in electronics, HVAC systems, or a related field OR a Valid Georgia un-restricted construction industry license in plumbing and/or electrical
    • Minimum five years experience in facilities maintenance or building construction

    • Previous supervisory experience

    • Previous working knowledge of electricity, plumbing, carpentry, lawn care, and related maintenance techniques  

    • Windows PC software database or control system knowledge.

    • Excellent oral and written communication skills
    • Ability to reason analytically
    • Ability to proficiently read and interpret electric schematics

    • Possess valid Georgia driver’s license

    Ideal candidate will also have the following:

    • Experience with access control systems  

    Working Conditions: 

    Work inside company facilities with some driving to pick up parts  

    Work irregular hours and time in excess of normal workweek and be placed on call, as required
